Startup working in a brand new space in the security field. Very exciting to be a part of such a cutting edge company. RiskIQ's technology is unmatched. Sincere interest in employee professional development.

Cons

Nothing major, all growing pains have been addressed well by management.

Pros

* The people you get to work with might be the top reason to work at RiskIQ. People are very motivated on what they are working on and RiskIQ has tons of people with knowledge, talent and the desire to accomplish big things. * Great culture and work environment. * Introduced to tons of useful technologies, from Docker to SpringBoot to Elasticsearch to AWS to Redis and the list goes on. * Board game nights every other week

Cons

* Lots of legacy systems with little to no documentation so takes a lot of figuring out on your part. * Onboarding process due to the monolithic code base. Could be better refined. Moved towards microservices approach at the end of my time there so that's a start. * Some projects (albeit not often but large projects) are not properly planned and scrapped thus loss of work time on those projects.

Pros

I am one of the co-founders of PassiveTotal and we were acquired by RiskIQ in September 2015. When looking for a place to join forces with, we wanted a smaller company that shared our vision for our product that would also bring value to our community. From our initial talks with RiskIQ, we knew the company would be a great fit for us. - Management team is amazing and is constantly looking forward/re-evaluating decisions - Company is still small enough that culture feels like family - Engineering runs a tight process that ensures quality - Foundation technology is scalable and unlike many other services we've seen - Collection of data spans multiple years and includes extreme levels of detail - Vision is sound and aligns with the market

Cons

- Company is growing, so there's some pain in identifying the proper processes to use, but everyone involved is open to suggestion - Need to improve our existing website to better outline services offered (actively being worked on)
