Pros

The people are nice and genuine and really care about the customers. The instant feed back from the customers when you have met or exceeded their expectations is very rewarding.

Cons

Company does not see value in associates who are store level to advance into leadership roles that are not store based positions.

Pros

Rite Aid has many benefits to becoming an employee. They have good benefits, a very structured management style, promote the willingness to work with others, safety and confidentiality compliance, and will teach the employee skills that may be used in future eneavors.

Cons

Rite Aid is a good establishment to work at, but there are a few cons. One con is the pay is not up to par with other employers like them. Another is working with the public, which isn't bad 90% of the time, but that remaining 10% can drive a person up the wall....

Pros

Good pay while it lasted.

Cons

Poor communication between corporate and store, poor policies making, we were required to drop everything we were doing and greet every customer that walked in the door even if we were already helping another customer at the cash register, the cash registeres do not face the main entrances, but if we did not turn our heads to greet each and every one of them, we would be fired, corporate management has no care towards store employees' well-being. I was told I would be receiving training for becoming a manager when I took on the job at one of the Rite Aids in eastern Oregon, not only did I not receive the training I was promised, when there was a direct opening for me to advance, they brought in someone who knows someone from corporate, soon after that, everyone realized that the new manager is not at all a hands on manager, but he would sit in the office all day, and go home early. It's not what you can do, it's whom you know, the new manager soon brought in his own friend and cut everyone's hours way down just so the payroll doesn't anger the corporate. Very negative place to work for. Never any positive feedbacks from anyone.
