High turnover rate and terrible upper management

Pros

Salary for pharmacist is one of the highest.

Cons

No security. No breaks. ugly uniforms. If you have an incident they will show no empathy towards any of the staff. They have a high turnover rate because they do not believe in loyalty to the employees so no one stays and the only ones who put in much effot are those trying to get promoted. They also do not promote within the company very easily. Work corporate management I have ever worked with. Very rude, unprofessional, no empathy when terrible situations happen (robbery, serious incidents with pts)

Good Start, terrible long term

Pros

Great place for students, most managers work with school schedules well. Good way to build on customer service skills.

Cons

In my experience over 3 years of working at 3 different rite aids in a couple of states within suburban areas and busy city areas, they've all appeared understaffed. There's a multitude of task to do all on one person and most times the customers complain that there's not enough people to help. You've got to be really good at juggling tasks. Training isn't very detailed so you've got to learn a lot through experience and asking questions.

Pros

Flexible hours, some control of schedule, guaranteed overtime as part of compensation. High expectations with minimal help. To many bosses with different expectations .

Cons

Terrible benefits and vacation time under 5 years. Very little help with harsh payroll controls. Frequently working alone which isn't very safe.
