Pros

The Rite Aid store I worked for had a very good, caring manager. Good ground level exposure to retail and consumer products.

Cons

The Assistant Managers tended to be young and lazy and this bad influence would spread to the younger associates. The district manager was distant and did not interact well with the staff.

Pros

As a pharmacy, the computer system is good, and the stores where I had experience had good support from middle management. I enjoyed the stores I worked in because the other staff were great, but that is just store-to-store.

Cons

It's not that different from other national pharmacy chains. The whole pharmacy world is becoming less patient oriented. Focusing on prescriptions that will make you money and increasing profit margins on certain products would allow the company to focus on patient relationships.
