Pros

Good pay while it lasted.

Cons

Poor communication between corporate and store, poor policies making, we were required to drop everything we were doing and greet every customer that walked in the door even if we were already helping another customer at the cash register, the cash registeres do not face the main entrances, but if we did not turn our heads to greet each and every one of them, we would be fired, corporate management has no care towards store employees' well-being. I was told I would be receiving training for becoming a manager when I took on the job at one of the Rite Aids in eastern Oregon, not only did I not receive the training I was promised, when there was a direct opening for me to advance, they brought in someone who knows someone from corporate, soon after that, everyone realized that the new manager is not at all a hands on manager, but he would sit in the office all day, and go home early. It's not what you can do, it's whom you know, the new manager soon brought in his own friend and cut everyone's hours way down just so the payroll doesn't anger the corporate. Very negative place to work for. Never any positive feedbacks from anyone.

Pros

The only few good reasons to work at Rite Aid are the flexible hours and easy work...it is definitely easy, mindless money.

Cons

1. The pay is the lowest in the drug store industry. 2. This is with many places, you can be there for four years and only be getting paid .60 more than what you were hired at but people getting hired now will be starting out more than you! 3. Only one pay increase a year and it's only 2%!
