Wonderful culture, benefits (but may have changed in recent years)
Pros
Although it sounds like there have been worrying developments at Riverbed since I worked there in 2014, back then this place was the best possible scenario for a giant Fortune 500 company. Like the anti-Oracle. Efficient, great corporate culture, friendly to remote workers. The salary, and especially benefits, were well beyond industry standards. Everything from my interview (very practical and focused on real-world problems) to my last day was done in a friendly, practical, professional and honest way. We had a parting of ways—the blame being entirely on my side—so my bias should be the other way, but these folks were 100% great.
Cons
Any big company comes with a slightly sterile, corporate-y vibe, but Riverbed had the least of that I've ever seen. Some of the newer reviews indicate experiences that weren't as positive as mine, so it's possible that the culture is very different between offices or has changed since I was there in 2014.
