      Lots of potential, questionable senior leadership

      Pros

      There is a lot of talent at Riveron, even at the MD level. Within smaller teams, there’s the opportunity to work really awesome projects and there are people within the organization who care / are extremely bright.

      Cons

      I noticed a heavy transactional layer of dealing with employees (more so than a big firm) when it was convenient for senior leadership and sloppiness when it wasn’t. This indicated to me smoke and mirrors around a broader culture issue which truly did affect the day to day of employees. Unfortunately, any positives seemed to be overshadowed by top down directives, and hard to overlook its position as a PE portfolio company as a factor here.

      When assigned to a project the work is a challenge and the feeling is you are making a positive impact to your client

      Cons

      Interview process spoke to minimal travel and high utilization. In practice, travel is high and utilization is low. Senior levels are asked to leverage down to associates and analysts creating inability to achieve utilization targets.
