Pros

Can get staffed on a variety of projects, some challenging and interesting. Lots of smart employees.

Cons

Poor work life balance including mandatory 9 hour days at a minimum. Lots of staff turnover. Some projects are nothing more than staff augmentation sold as consulting work. Poor pay structure, employees are penalized for not being staffed by a reduction in pay.

Riveron Response

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you found your work challenging and gained exposure to a variety of project types. While we encourage work life balance for our employees, we also strive to meet the business needs of our clients in a timely manner. Some days our consultants work less than 9 hours and other days exceed 9 hours. However, the 9 hour average workday is standard both at Riveron and across consulting practices, and we communicate this requirement during our onboarding process. With the level of commitment required and industry standards in mind, we know our pay structure is competitive with the Big 4. Your statement regarding a reduction in pay for not being staffed is unclear as our consultants’ salaries are not contingent upon whether or not they are staffed. If this is not the statement you intended, we encourage you to respond with clarification. Thank you for your contributions to Riveron. We wish you success in your future endeavors.

Great place to work

Pros

This is a great place to work. The people are friendly and very family oriented. People at all levels participate in functions and work well with each other. The work is interesting and challenging and everyone is looking to learn new skills to grow the services we can offer our clients.

Cons

Like all consulting companies, there is still travel involved. But since I have been in consulting for many years, it’s one of those things that I have come to expect. It gives me to opportunity to do what I like to do and that is to help my clients improve their business and make their business lives better.

Pros

In my 20+ years of experience across firms large and small I've never worked with a better group of people. The culture here is truly people-centric and the desire to grow the firm and create dynamic professional opportunities for our consultants as we grow is absolutely genuine.

Cons

We experience growing pains from time to time as with any rapidly growing business, but working through those challenges with people you trust is part of the learning and growth experience.
