Riveron is the perfect spot for those looking to transition out of public accounting or for those looking to move out of industry and into client service. It has all of the great things people look to public accounting firms for, while somehow not adopting any of the negatives. You get to work with other highly motivated, hard working, smart people who are also sick of the public accounting lifestyle. There is a great company culture where people enjoy being around one another and want take advantage of all the Riveron social activities (volleyball, white water rafting, happy hours, white water rafting, book clubs, etc.). However, whereas in public accounting there is often a culture of getting a "gold star" for working late hours or staying at the happy hour the latest, this is no longer the expectation at Riveron. Everyone works hard and enjoys spending time with one another after hours, but most people came to Riveron to have more work life balance and to get home to spend time with family/friends. Additionally, there is significant access to leadership not only within the Denver office, but also on a national scale. Leaders truly care about everyone at Riveron and take the time to get to people on an individual level and will check in on individuals to see how they are doing. If someone is having issues with something (travel, hours, etc.), leaders listen and actively try to make change to ensure that person is enjoying their experiences at Riveron.
