Great Place to Own Your Career

Pros

Riveron is a dynamic company that enables employees to take on exciting projects with thoughtful approaches to meet client needs. I’ve always enjoyed the Riveron individuals I’ve had had the chance to work with on my various client-serving teams as well as on internal initiatives. Riveron Houston has experienced overwhelming growth over the last few years – almost tripling in size. I am happy to say that despite the growth, the culture has remained, and even improved I would say. There are so many ways to get involved and feel engrained with the group here in the Houston office. Outside of client work, the office is always participating in various community service events, corporate wellness activities and celebrations in the office for marriages, new babies etc. Management (especially in Houston) is always accessible and is willing to focus one-on-one attention to make sure you are making progress in your career and taking on projects that will develop your skillset. I feel lucky to have found a company, especially the group in Houston, that values what we do (client service) as well as internal development. I have had opportunities here at an early point in my career to get involved with workstreams or initiatives that I don’t foresee myself having the ability to get until much further along in public accounting.

Cons

Schedule can be a bit unpredictable at times, Parental leave policy not competitive with the market, 401k match could be improved

Fantastic work and culture

Pros

This is a company that allows each individual to express their professional creativity whilst cementing a common theme of producing the highest quality of work. The culture is supportive and collaborative which motivates everyone to grow both professionally and personally.

Cons

Not a con for everyone - but being in a high growth phase (like any company) it sometimes limits the ability to delegate certain work meaning team leaders need to roll up their sleeves and get into the weeds in certain circumstances. But ultimately this makes us better consultants.
