Pros

Large health system in which most physicians are well trained with extensive experience.

Cons

Poor conflict resolution and widespread systemic/institutional racism makes it a very poor choice for a long term career; Nurses in the EDs are generally poorly trained with poor critical thinking compounded by thinking they know better than the doctors ironically based on their limited knowledge and experience, many of whom have only practiced in riversides setting. Too many cliques especially again among nurses to the detriment of the whole establishment.

Pros

Progressive Health system lead by a Chief Nursing Officer who has the nurses of the system at the center of every decision. Feel supported as a nurse in my position with Riverside.

Cons

Riverside does an excellent job managing the many changes of healthcare

Pros

Patients are sweet and make job bearable, employee perks through certain retailers.

Cons

Does not care about employees like they boast, does not listen to staff suggestions if you read through their suggestions page in the employee portal they turn down everything or give some bs reason not to follow through, DOES NOT UTILIZE MONEY WELL, will fire with no reasoning EASILY, has new attendance policy that is extremely cut throat and does not even allow you to be sick or have an uncontrollable circumstance and be excused from receiving an "occurance", cannot answer employee questions about damn near anything.
