Pros
They have instituted the Roche European culture, in that the rules and training emphasize good teams, good behaviour, inclusiveness. Good remuneration. Apolitical.
Cons
Management comes out of Europe, so expect to reach a limit on your role if you can’t move easily. The old guard runs the location, so you have to be careful to stay on the right side of everyone. Expect to be delivered reorganizational news with little to no notification, and although I mentioned adopting European values, this does NOT apply to your US employment which remains at-will, so those European and global decisions will be applied without a second thought. Don’t expect your loyalty or at least commitment to count for anything but dollars.
