Pros

There's food at a lot of the meetings. Surrounded by very intelligent scientists. That's just about it; everything else sucks.

Cons

Where do I begin? Extremely poor management. Micromanaged from people outside of my own department. Spent almost half a year with no supervisor so I was stuck doing busy work like cleaning closets. No training; was sent to my office on the first day with absolutely no training so I only learned things as they came up. Low pay. Cattiness. Favoritism. Got fired because my "performance was lacking" however my last performance evaluation was perfect and there was no verbal or written warnings between that evaluation and the termination. The real reason is because they play favorites and there is a lot of sucking up. Was asked for a reason or example of where my performance was lacking and was told that they don't have to give me a reason. Lots of cliques like high school teenagers. Lazy coworkers. Lots and lots of system flaws and disconnect within their internal internet programs which makes communication between departments extremely challenging. I could go on for days about how miserable of an environment Rockefeller University is.
