Pros

Pays at the top of the graduate student scale, nice student housing options, great research with many possible mentors

Cons

Need to be very proactive to get what you want. No oversight for bad PI behavior.

Pros

Great since and scientific environment. I enjoyed the talks from external and internal faculty/PIs.

Cons

Only boss was never happy and not very encouraging though I co-authored over 12 research articles in high impact journals. The compensation was very low, not increased for over 5 years.
