Pros

-Generally awesome, young, and very experienced team on the design and manufacture side. -A great environment for learning from the best and developing the ability to excel in ever-changing fast-paced design spaces. -Just about the grandest mechanical engineering project going on in New Zealand and plenty of opportunity in the near future to be involved on the US side.

Cons

-For the caliber of work and extensive unpaid overtime required to meet tight deadlines, pay as a junior can leave you feeling taken advantage of when talking with peers in similar industries with other companies. -Yearly performance reviews mean that you'll likely take on more responsibility than what's detailed in your role and not be compensated for it until the cycle comes around. -High susceptibility for burn-out if you are not truly passionate for the work you are doing, maintaining a work-life balance can be near impossible during the many crunch periods.

Pros

On site available lunches if in the man facility. Great diverse interesting people. High tech product Becoming more professional and working on their issues. Transitioning from Startup to Large company teething issues are mostly gone

Cons

No longer a fun R&D facility Founding members often overlooked for promotion They say they have your back but regularly see good people thrown under the bus. You're just a number, a cog in a machine, expendable backed up by being a rocket company with 1000s of applicants to replace you. Growth is slow and you get stuck in your role with little hope to move up. Better to leave and come back to change roles. Career suicide as there is little to no development or learning promoted.
