Pros

I’ve been in biopharma long enough to know that no organization is perfect. That said, Rocket Pharma stands out for all the wrong reasons. The culture is fragmented, highly political, and driven by shifting power centers rather than clear, durable strategy. Direction changes frequently, often tied to who is influencing leadership at the moment, leaving teams scrambling and long-term planning nearly impossible. Alignment is weak. Functions pursue their own agendas and cross-team accountability is minimal. Speaking up, offering an alternative view, or challenging assumptions is implicitly discouraged. The safer path is to fall in line. That dynamic rewards compliance over contribution and drains engagement, especially for experienced hires who came here to build, not to salute. Favoritism shows up in staffing, promotions, and resourcing. I’ve seen capable people marginalized while better-connected colleagues get opportunities. Some managers let minor titles go to their heads, creating petty top-down interactions that add friction without adding value. Psychological safety is low and trust is thin. Hiring too often leans on internal networks, friends, and repeat circles instead of broad, merit-based searches for the strongest talent. That kind of insular recruiting narrows perspective, slows innovation, and reinforces the political patterns that already hold the company back. The business outlook is troubling. A recent setback in the company’s lead program raises serious questions about the development strategy and valuation narrative. Pair that with a relatively thin cash position, especially relative to the capital required to advance the remaining pipeline, and the risk profile climbs quickly. Without substantial new financing, disciplined portfolio pruning, or a strategic transaction, it’s hard to see how meaningful progress is funded. The departures of several seasoned executives in close succession should not be dismissed. Whether driven by internal dysfunction, strategic disagreement, or waning confidence in the company’s future, the message to rank-and-file employees is the same: instability at the top. At this stage, I don’t see a path that justifies the personal or professional investment required to join or stay at Rocket Pharma. Until there is a wholesale reset of leadership alignment, culture, capital strategy, and talent practices, I would not recommend this company to experienced industry professionals.

Pros

- Good Package and Pay - Takes an interest in self growth and cross training - Understanding and respectful of home life - They reward hard work

Cons

- Understaffed departments; be prepared to take on extra work. - Unpredictable work environment - adaptability to a changing "Hurry up and wait" work load should be expected. - "Missing the forest for the trees" when making decisions, not enough thought is given to ground floor operation.
