Happy to join, equally happy to leave. Mixed bag.
Pros
Remote work, no commute, no overtime. Lots of smart people on the software and business side. Company fun and progressive. Several coworkers were truly nice people and helpful. Dan Gilbert, and other senior management very accessible to all. Even answers emails regularly. Senior management seems to care. Offer great tech equipment for remotes - make the job easier and more efficient.
Cons
Leaders/Managers - many are not "professional". Can be condescending and treat 20 year developers like children. Not universal, but not uncommon - luck of the draw on your team. Basically many leaders were ruff and gruff. Pay was OK, not great by developer standards, but was offset by remote work and no commute. Main system, AMP, character based on not fun to work with. No documentation, little mentoring. "Just figure it out" attitude. Little opportunity to learn new technologies. Too much growth , too quickly. Not a horrible employer, not a great one either. Again - that outlook varies by team. Was happy to have joined, was equally happy to leave.
