      Pros

      Great place for young kids right out of school. One of the best intern experiences in the state. Great place for aggressive bankers that can sell - they can make good money Strong IT team They own a ton of property in Detroit Very strong team feel Good benefits Changing Detroit in a positive direction

      Cons

      Expect long hours and work life to consume you. Expect very tough learning curve, with little training, and pressure to produce. Conflicting direction from senior leadership with little help. Starting pay is not competitive Constant changes Business is on the downturn

      Really fun work environment. Management is very cool. I worked with some of the best, most driven directors and they were very nice.

      Work home imbalance. Work WAY too much as a banker.

      You have a job and get a pay check every 2 weeks.

      Cons

      If you live your life to work-this is the place for you, because you will not have a life outside of work…The Firm, Goundhog Day, and Office Space combined into one. Required-or-your-fired 10 hour + work days and 2 weekends a month schedule with zero flexibility or tolerance for time off -time off is expected to be made up or your income goes down. Inconsistant income and dramatic fluctuation between checks-compensation plans can change monthly at anytime and change OFTEN. If you want to be stressed and your life to be controlled by your employer-this is the place to be. Anyone that says otherwise does not have a life-or a happy one-guaranteed.
