Don't Waste Your Time

Pros

Some of your team members will be great to work with and train with. A lot of company resources at your finger tips.

Cons

Was hired on and signed an offer letter for $20/hr. After my third week of training, it was dropped for everyone in the company to $15/hr and they made the commission plan harder to obtain. Management told me that they were weeding out the customer service people in favor of more of the aggressive sales people. My training class of 70 people was down to 20 people by my third month. It was a nightmare. They don't tell you that you have to sell extended coverages and warranties and it's all a point system, based on if you can get the customer to do financing, trade-in their vehicle and purchase 3 different warranties . 1 pt for selling a vehicle, and 9 for selling a warranty. The sales people on the floor are very cut-throat and dishonest. They will steal your customers, never call back their own customers and will add on warranties and coverages to deals without the customers knowing. Management doesn't do anything. If you don't believe me how bad the customer service is, take a look on the social media profiles for Vroom.com. That's the company you'll be working for. Add to that, a working environment where you are working mandatory OT, being on the phone for more than 4 hours a day, a schedule that switches every two weeks and the pressure of having to get to 200 points a month or you're fired. I had many sleepless nights wondering if I was going to be able to pay my bills. In the end, the job wasn't worth it and they could care less whether you work for them or not. You're a number. I went to give my two weeks notice, and they shut me off all of their programs, systems and emails within 10 mins of my notice. Like I didn't even exist. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider it. It was the worst job I ever had and any job from this point on in my life will be considered better than what I went through here.

Pros

Great benefits & some remote opportunities.

Cons

Literally everything else about the company is terrible. Do not respect their employees or care about your time. Change schedules on a dime. Zero work-life balance.

A TOXIC environment

Pros

Potential for great pay if you enjoy working 70-80 hour weeks and having absolutely zero work life balance

Cons

No support from management, HORRIBLE training for new bankers fresh to the mortgage industry, no work life balance. Schedule changes DAILY and weekends are constantly required even though they will tell you only one weekend per month when they hire you. They encourage working off the clock. Treat you horribly when you need time off. This is why their turnover is so high. By far the worst experience I’ve had at any career.
