- Great benefits - Team-centered - Interesting technology - Honest banking that genuinely wants to help first time buyers. Follows the spirit of fair lending policies, not just the letter of the law. You can feel good about what you produce.

Cons

- Strong culture carefully shepherded while Quicken Loans was private has melted significantly since going public as Rocket Mortgage. Original leaders are all gone now. - Hostage to mortgage market which is currently in serious slump.

The ISMs are pretty decent as far as guidelines go- but the culture Dan Gilbert created is pretty toxic and problematic for a changing workforce. People would have a problem when i would say “user” when talking about someone using our product, but then had no problems saying things like “gump it” for “dumb it down”, or my favorite- their central tech support is “the guy”. Many of these because they are holding on to Dans culture. I really wanted to like working here , i enjoyed my team, but my management chain was all white cis het men, who were just more problematic than the last. Heard many horror stories throughout engineering.
