      Mature firmware centric culture

      Pros

      Flexible hours, vacation schedules,covered parking. There is a certain level of maturity about handling projects involving firmware that is not to be taken for granted. Project planning and execution process is well thought out. Labs are well furnished with plenty of adequate equipment.

      Cons

      Engineering disciplines are very segregated if you are not the discipline lead. Management can sometimes overreach when development issues arise. Purchasing supplies can be a slow and bureaucratic process.

      Decent pay, but still below industry averages and good benefits

      Cons

      - horrible work life balance - company culture shrouded by bureaucracy and politics - old school and aeons behind a modern tech. Company. - most of the older employees with unhealthy attitudes towards newer employees. My first months were spent dealing with harassment and being called "bottom of the barrel" - underlying tones of racism in company culture prevalent in more experienced employees

      It was good company to work and provide lots of training, resources which make your life easy. Nice company to work upon.

      Cons

      matrix organization so positional growth is limited. Need inter Business Unit collaboration more than external.
