Pros

Pay is decent unless you work in security or the mail room. Location isn't bad depending on where you're coming from. The building is clean.

Cons

Caucasian male dominated company with a brick ceiling (at least with glass you can see a little speck of potential.) It bothers me that there are no female execs. Extremely strict dress code that enforces ties, pantyhose, and a 3 toe max if wearing open toed shoes. No casual Friday's. Plantation way of thinking and sadly you can see who's in the house and who's in the field based on how they're treated. No room for growth. Technology is very outdated. No online bill payment. You can only call during normal business hours. You need a coupon booklet to make a payment. There's no automated phone option to pay after hours. Not a place for millennials to work or grow in.

Our company is an equal opportunity employer and does not tolerate discrimination for any reason. Historically speaking this industry has been dominated by males and we are working to change that. We do have a qualified female executive, we have hired more females into upper level management positions and are desire is to hire more. We appreciate your concern for wanting more diversity and it is something we are working on but always balance the right candidate for the role. One way our employees can aid in increasing the variety of our candidates, is to provide referrals through their network. In addition, with an organization founded on a long standing family history and has decades of success, we ask that employees consider that change takes time, it does not happen over night. Giving feedback and voicing your opinions helps start the discussion and create action for change. We have an open door policy and would encourage you to engage with our key leader, Jerry Gahlhoff, who is a Brand President and the HR Leader for all of Rollins. He is open to all employees reaching out to him directly for meaningful dialogue and partnering on solutions to concerns.

Pros

Easy money cause they don’t let you do anything on your own. You just do what they tell you and that’s it. 9 to 5 job.

Cons

They really distrust their employees.

Pros

Financially stable, growth focused, tried and true processes.

Cons

Male dominated culture with no active initiatives for change. Antiquated dress code (ties, pantyhose, closed toed shoes), lack of flexible working options (remote, telecommute, flex hours), lack of professional development paths for current Marketing employees. Result: it's difficult to attract and retain high value employees due to the culture.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback as a former employee. We too agree that we have the BEST PEOPLE! The growth and stability of our industry has great financial benefits as you mention, but the other side of the coin is that transformational change for such a long standing business will take some time to see. We also understand your concerns about our particular industry of pest management being male dominated. However, the company has been making positive steps in the direction of promoting and hiring female leaders over the last few years. In Marketing specifically, we have 2 of the 4 top leadership positions held by female leaders and we are an even a mix throughout the greater team. Also, regarding Employee Satisfaction Survey you mentioned, we have taken this employee feedback seriously and improved our efforts here. For example, employees are able to request staggered scheduling, we have a very strong open door culture among the team, the CMO conducts skip level coffee meetings and we've made progress with the cross-functional Recognition Committee this year. Additionally, the key focus area for the Marketing leadership team for the second half of the year is the work related to employee career pathing and growth opportunities with our organization. The company’s marketing resources are aligned functionally to each line of business to better serve the customer's needs, but we need to do a better job of communicating what that means for each individual's professional development. We appreciate your contributions while you were with the company and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
