Pros

Good place to get broad experience and build your resume. Lots of opportunities to support different projects for foreign and domestic customers (con: Few opportunities to establish a career in house). anything over 40 hours in 1 week = 1.5 x hourly rate There is flexibility in your weekly hours and possible 9-80 schedule but it's very dependent on your supervisor and department. Work/Life balance is very dependent on the individual and their tasks | assignments. Usually a big chunk of OT available in November and December to get projects complete. (con: if you want to spend time with family, this could be a challenge to meet objectives at the office) You get 8 hours of paid time off (PTO) for your birthday! Also get 8 hours of PTO for Good Friday (+) and other traditional US holidays. Decent Health Insurance premium if you are single. (con: terrible for dependents) They recently started recognizing top performers and their achievements and have a employee appreciation parking spot in the same row with MGMT right by the front door. Lunch and Learns offered routinely to learn about different parts of the company, nuclear power plants, industry, etc. Quality Assurance Program is the best it's ever been. They have a committed management team with a very high standard. It's come a long way!

Cons

Knee Jerk reactions driven down to PKMJ from the UK. Bureaucracy. Limited opportunities to grow. There was almost a 1 supervisor or manager to 4 worker ratio at one point in early 2018. Fewer than 150 employees in PGH office. Trajectory of company is uncertain. They do make plans but plans change, inevitably. Success is very dependent on commercial nuclear power industry which is very politically charged. Turnover of people is pretty rapid (seems like 3-5 years and people move on). Benefits leave a lot to be desired. 3 year vesting period for a 2% company match 401k = not that great. No Dental Plan offered.
