Pros

Co-workers are great and work well as a team. Associates (for the most part) treat staff as people and not as a subspecies. Benefits are good.

Cons

Management says they care about the staff, but they don't. They keep hiring people with no related experience to supervise departments. Loosing qualified people (staff & attorneys) all the time and nothing seems to be done to stop it. Morale firm wide is very low.

Pros

Met some great friends and finally got to see what I would never want to see at another company again.

Cons

Company/department was great at first. Flexible etc until they considered you up to speed and then it was everyone for themselves and the ones that never said no or disagreed got to do things against policy without consequences. I worked in User Support and it almost caused me to never work in help desk again. It is run by supervisors and directors that have the most inefficient management style. Users could threaten us and it didn't matter. If you were liked you could do just about anything. If you said no to overtime when they really wanted you to take it you were then a target and they made sure you felt their wrath. The director has no problem firing someone at the drop of a hat and then continuing on with a smile.

Pros

High degree of professionalism. Most employees very earnest and hard working with a high degree of integrity. Pay was competititive and structure was merit based. Most staff very congenial. High degreee of collaboration among team members.

Cons

Could be very stodgy and white shoe. Very conservative culture and not very diverse. Hierarchy is very rigid and lawyers are definitely considered above all levels of staff, even senior staff.
