Pros

Their were some many nice people there....mostly from other departments and I believe probably because there wasn't a fear of losing there job with workers from other departments.

Cons

Bad Management....or should I say Upper Management wasn't doing their job in obtaining quality Managers and/or keeping tabs on them. Nothing positive came out of my Managers mouth. The department moral was always very vegative as a result. Everyone in the department disliked this particular Manager but Upper Management just continued to look the other way and instead let the subordinates suffer, stress, and eventually burn out. Both Management and Upper Managemet would sacrifice the subordinates, and lie right in front of them, in order to save their behind. There was no decency in this department. Scare tactics were being used in that everyone in the department was in constant fear of losing their job. Co-Workers did not trust each other as a result of this and there was always an uneasiness within the department. It was not an evironment where you could maximize your abilities and potential nor could you feel comfortable knowing that your co-workers had your back.

Pros

The store manager is supportive and has ultimate respect for all of the associates at my store. At the store level TRUE is in practice and I feel valued as a person.

Cons

From the District Manager level on up there is no respect for us as people. There are different rules for different manager depending on how much the DM likes you. If all you do is tell him what he wants to hear and you never, and I mean never, speak out then you are allowed to break policy and even make your own rules without fear of corrective action. Dishonesty is common place and it is not unusual to hear "I don't remember saing that" or even "I never said that" so get everthing in writing or make sure you have a witness. The "r" in TRUE stands for respect but at no time is this respect given to us by the District manager or those above him.
