Pros

Great compensation and perks for non-management; great place to start career in recruiting, you have the opportunity to make a lot of money and get every other Friday off

Cons

Managers have little decision making power, do not reap the same perks as their employees and are expected to do much more than they are rewarded for

Thank you. We sincerely appreciate your feedback. We operate on the philosophy that our success begins and ends with the local manager. It's why the majority of Top Performers selected to attend our annual Hawaii Trip are local managers. It's why managers are asked for feedback on new and upcoming projects before anyone else. It's why managers pilot many of our proposed new programs before others. And, even though all other employees have the option of a 9/80 Flex Schedule except managers, it's why we award RAD Days to managers and provide several floating holidays for them to choose from. We agree that being a manager at Roth Staffing Companies is the most demanding role in the organization - and yet, the most rewarding in many ways. You're also right in that we can never say thank you to our managers enough and will do our best to shower them with even more praise and recognition. Your review is listed as from a "former employee" and perhaps you were not a manager with us as we've rolled out programs dependent on branch manager business cases. The majority of our branches are hiring and growing based on more autonomy and decision-making provided to our managers.

We would LOVE more information! We've never received the feedback "not enough work" - LOL! We hope you elaborate more in your coworker survey? (We're not sure if you indeed are an internal coworker at one of our offices or are a contracted tempoprary employee on assignment?) If you are an internal coworker, you know that our Customer Experience team thoroughly reviews each and every comment submitted during our engagement surveys. Or, if you feel comfortable, we hope you will reach out confidentially to someone in HR. Let us know how we can make your experience better. We genuinely want to create a work environment in every single branch office where people LOVE what they do and the people around them. Thank you for taking the time to submit this review

Pros

Company vision and mission are great, the CEO of the company really drives these.

Cons

Each region/area is ran differently as long as you are lucky enough to have a good RD/BM you are good. If not, good luck. No growth opportunities. Very low pay, commission structure is a joke. You are paid/classified as an hourly employee but are not able to get paid for overtime even though they know and are fully aware that you are int the office from 7AM - 8/9PM

Your feedback about the vision and mission of the company is greatly appreciated - thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are proud that you felt our core philosophies were driven companywide, but disheartened to hear you struggled within your local office. Your review is marked as coming from "a former employee." We would love more details on how long ago your employment was at Roth Staffing Companies. In the past three years, almost every office has been transitioned to offering flexible schedules which mandates that coworkers take needed and deserved breaks (no more working through lunch allowed!); it also mandates that employees leave at a set hour each evening. We have found that by enforcing a work/life balance, our coworkers have actually become even more productive and more passionate about what they do. If there is indeed an office where coworkers are arriving at 7am and staying until 8pm at night, we absolutely MUST be alerted immediately. We are actively researching this to uncover if any office is operating this way thanks to your helpful review, but it appears that you may be describing a work environment from awhile ago? Please do reach out to our corporate office and help us learn more - we want nothing more than to address this situation. We also wholeheartedly agree that the experience for our coworkers all comes down to the manager they report to. People stay and thrive because of their local leadership. We are investing heavily in developing better leaders. Also, as you recommended in your review, we have more and more leaders spending time in each of our local offices. We hope it continues to make a world of difference for our coworkers throughout the U.S.
