Businesses are setup as silos and they bonus based on performance of their own silo P/L. They preach vertical integration externally but internally everyone is out for themselves

Pros

It's exciting working on new powertrain platforms. Figuring out issues before they ever reach customer level. Watching a program from infancy to a full complete status really is amazing.

Cons

Management at the local level are basically a title holder. Most have been here forever and care little about making improvements. There is also alot of nepotism and favoritism. Seen many techs and engineers leave to to the mismanagement. None want the responsibility but love have the titles. Our senior level management seems to be the opposite. Strange culture we have here.
