      Veteran Friendly workplace with lots of opportunities for advancement, if you are willing to try different things.

      The commute is tough. Dealing with Detroit traffic

      Pros

      Variety on projects. Very much a tossed in the deep end and learn how to swim culture. If you can handle the stress of that, you can gain a significant amount of experience in a very short amount of time.

      Cons

      Pay was lower than other companies. If you had over time though you could make up the lower salary.Very little structure or guide on advancing in your position.

      Pros

      Roush has a reputation for excellence, and is a good company to work for. It is an automotive engineering and product development company at its core, but is successful in many other markets (racing, military/government, aerospace, theme park engineering, energy, others). Its diversity gives Roush stability, and gives its employees a broad range of opportunity. Roush's management is practical and down-to-earth, and good people tend to advance in the company with time.

      Cons

      Roush is somewhat conservative with respect to perks. However, its pay and benefits are competitive, so you can buy your own Keurig machine if that's a must-have for you. :)
