Pros

My department, at least, is willing to work with me on my scheduling and subjects to teach. Everyone is always willing to take questions and find answers. Lots of professional development opportunities in trying to keep the instruction modern for the students' benefit.

Cons

Like many other educational institutions, they are starting to squeeze more work (larger class sizes and fewer course sections) out of the faculty for budgetary reasons.

Pros

You can choose your own hours and as a tutor (i forgot the exact legal reason) get paid in accordance with the state minimum wage, which is significantly higher than the current federal wage. There are a lot of jobs on Rowan campus that the school is able to pay them federal minimum wage.

Cons

A lot of math and explaining.
