Flexible work schedule, can get a lot of hours or keep it minimal during busy semesters.

Cons

Strict compared to other on campus positions. Lots of gossiping and cliques. People who are close to the leadership are recognized much more than those who have been working for a while and doing the job correctly.

Pros

As an adjunct faculty, I was given the full responsibility of teaching my course, and got help whenever I needed. Classes were not overcrowded, and pleasant to teach. My supervisor was accessible.

Cons

I was limited with teaching at most 3 classes per year, which makes the commute not worth it at times.
