Pros

Opportunity to gain valuable experience in public accounting, worked with a variety of small business clients in different industries.

Cons

Benefits are poor compared to similar-paying industry positions. The workload increased due to understaffing, increased turnover, the Firm's inability to retain qualified staff and a simultaneous focus on meeting or cutting the budget on audit projects while maintaining the same amount of work required or at times adding additional work to the schedule. Not uncommon to catch up on a backlog of work on PTO days. Know what you're getting into.

Pros

Great environment. The size of the firm allows for a good range of industries to get experience in as a newer staff. You still get the flexibility of a larger firm without being pigeonholed into one area.

Cons

Benefits, especially health care can be lackluster at best. Salary is fairly competitive, but the health care options in Nevada are not good.
