Pros

It's a job - it might or might not pay your bills. If you like chocolate you'll enjoy tasting the product, otherwise keep looking.

Cons

There are so many cons, it's hard to know where to start. Job titles are not reflective of the work expected. Pay increases are a joke - less than 1% is common. Past history shows it takes a complaint to the EEOC or other federal agency for Stover to compare their pay scale to other employers and be competitive. Benefits are worthless. Health insurance doesn't cover preventative procedures or testing. You have to be seriously ill for it to help, then they fire you. HR seems to know too much about employees' diagnoses. Corporate culture shows favoritism in the extreme. I worked there for 12 years before finding out bonuses were given to a select few - all VPs. Extreme effort is expected as a matter of course. Innovation is not welcomed or encouraged. There's more, but it could fill a book. Stay away if you value yourself at all - Stover certainly won't value you and you'll burn out quickly.

A Company in total Chaos

Pros

A Company Car, working independently

Cons

This is a company in total disarray. Hopefully, with the company being sold to Lindt, new management from top to bottom will follow. This will be the only way to bring change to this company. Mid level management (DM's) are a joke, as they know nothing about managing their sales reps and their work ethic is poor to say the least . The S/R's joke about what their DM's excuses are, (i.e., to meet them late or leave them early). When someone is fired, management will leave the sales rep in a parking lot with no transportation to get home, then laugh about it. When you complain about the work load or long hours to upper management, you are labeled a whiner or complainer and they want to get rid of you. This is a company that wants " yes" people to work for them, not someone that will challenge issues. (NO, I was not fired from this company, I left because of all of the mismanagement).

Untrained Corporate management

Pros

Was a great company when I started to manage a retail store for them.

Cons

Unknowlegeable retail and mismanaged direction from the new corporate staff. You need to have a PhD to work there. Push Here Dummy and take a picture was requested on all their decisions they wanted to implement in their stores. You were not allowed to manage your store at all. The title of manager was a joke! They micromanage you! That is because they did not know what they were doing at the corporate! They never managed a retail store!
