Pros

There is a great company culture in place and there a lot of potential for success. The only want "fully-formed adults" working here so they want people that will take responsibility and ownership for their work. They reward and recognize hard work and give you the tools to succeed.

Cons

There can be long hours, you need to remain positive in the face of adversity or a slow period so attitude is key.

Pros

Recruitment is an extremely difficult business and the agency you choose to align yourself with will have a SIGNIFICANT influence on your experience. Russell|Tobin takes a step back to diagnose the issues that plague the business and then makes a concerted effort to do things differently. The childish issues that exist with many of our competitors do not exist here. If you can't make it work at RTA... the business may not be right for you.

Cons

RTA is still in the midst of a significant phase of expansion and there are growing pains in place. Fortunately, everyone has a voice at the company and opinions are valued across the board.

Pros

The office from a location and otherwise is great. From a hardware standpoint you are given everything you need to be successful. Whether three monitors are needed for success is still up for debate. The company as a whole is filled with very successful senior recruiters and individual contributors.

Cons

You will be indoctrinated with what is seen as the "RTA" difference. Culture and every buzzword will be thrown at you, but wont be is clear direction and expectations for your own performance. While it is preached that it is a very non-metric and relationship driven firm, in reality it is no different from the large players in the industry. Visibility and transparency throughout the organization is nonexistent. Simply, if recruiters are not performing to the standards seen fit by their manager they are shown the side door in a very unprofessional manor.
