Pros

Plenty of hours to go around. Easy work. Glorified Google searcher. Fairly decent wage for a college student.

Cons

This job is basically answering phones all day to help people who are too stupid to understand how to search google. Essentially you go and sit in a call center for the entirety of your shift and no matter what you happen to be doing at that moment, eating lunch, answering an email, giving CPR as soon as the phone rings it becomes your one and only priorty. There are at least 15-20 full-time managers who all do pretty much nothing but joke around with each other all day with their thumbs up their butts while the part time slaves (i mean students) do all the work and yell at you to get back on the phones if you take longer than a 2 minute break. You are not allowed to reach 40 hours a week so they dont have to pay you any benifits. Promotions are given to students entirely on how much butt you kiss and how much the supervisors like you. Not on merit at all. Work is mindless, repetitive and soul-numbing.

Pros

Opportunities to work closely with surgeons

Cons

Too much red tape and politics in everything that is done here. The Newark location (formerly UMDNJ) is falling apart, and at this rate, it seems like it will likely be shut down soon. This will leave many people without jobs. They have already let go of many people who have been here for a long time.
