Pros
My department was flexible, and my supervisor was very easy to work with. Expectations were clear, and everyone was professional. Compensation was about average for the position, and benefits were good. Business office was supportive and cooperative despite budget challenges.
Cons
Working with other administrative offices was often challenging. Failure of other offices to complete tasks made completing my own tasks very difficult. Problems in bigger offices like HR and Payroll were difficult to fix and affected students and faculty in serious ways. Lots of paperwork and red tape to contend with.
