Pros

Flexible work hours, competitive pay, welcoming work environment, and diverse work force. I have seen no layoffs during the Corona virus outbreak, and we receive daily updates on the current situation. Brint Ryan and the rest of the leadership have done an amazing job in the current climate. The tight nit Ryan culture is absolutely phenomenal

Cons

Some of us are essential employees, but that can't be avoided.

Pros

The CEO Brint Ryan is the best CEO I have ever worked for by far! There are so many qualities and values that Brint brings to this company that makes RYAN work for it's employees and clients. We are all very important to him and it shows. As a CEO, Brint is always asking for feed back and responds with action. I personally have never seen a CEO as involved as he is. RYAN has amazing leadership, great benefits and lots of perks from being able to work remotely to bonuses (for everyone), employee recognition (which is very important), amazing teams, management and employees. During this season of COVID-19, we are NOT experiencing layoffs, cut backs on raises or having our bonuses taken away. We are still THRIVING!

Cons

There is no cons working at RYAN.

Brint Ryan - a model of how a CEO should behave during COVID

Pros

At Ryan, we’ve long had the ability to work remotely. It’s part of the company philosophy, balancing quality home life without sacrificing 100% client satisfaction. When hints of the train wreck that was COVID started to emerge, we were ready. Our CEO didn’t hesitate and immediately beefed up the IT system while simultaneously having employees work from home. And his employees never missed a beat, even though it was the heart of tax season for many, returns continued to be processed, and appeals continued to be settled. Since this pandemic has started, we’ve had minimally weekly update emails from our President, Ginny Kissling and our CEO, Brint Ryan has doubled his monthly Town Hall calls to bi-weekly sessions. And more importantly: no one has been furloughed, or laid off, or terminated and new hires were still hired, albeit trained remotely. No pay has been reduced, bonus’ that are due (for meeting quotas for example) are still being paid. I’ve always said Ryan LLC is the BEST big accounting company you’ve never heard of. Yes, everyone knows the names of the Big Four – is it because they take turns handling the computations for Oscar winners and the envelopes? But seriously, Ryan LLC puts these Big Four companies to shame. Brint Ryan has grown this company in 25 years and maybe that’s the reason why even though we’re a huge corporation, we feel connected to each other as if we’re a small 6-person office. This type of camaraderie comes from the top down – name another CEO that takes the time to speak to everyone as often as he does, to keep us informed of the company’s growth and more importantly, is willing to listen to an idea, no matter who is giving it – your voice counts here, whether you’re an intern or a Principal. Thank you Brint, for making sure that during this time of crisis your people are being taken care of.

Cons

None that I can think of.
