Great Place to Work!

Pros

Ryan's commitment to a flexible, yet results-driven work environment should be the standard for professional service firms everywhere. It allows employees to achieve work-life success that simply cannot be found with other firms. The incentive compensation model encourages success and (generally) rewards the amount of effort put forth. I commend Brint for his vision and steadfast support of the flexible work environment, as well as his philosophy of speaking directly without sugar coating issues.

Cons

Case assignment sometimes still depends on "favorites", resulting in some teams having less to work with, thus making it harder to achieve the same type of success.

Choosing Ryan was one of the best decisions I have ever made!

Pros

Joining Ryan over 6 years ago was one of the best decisions I have ever made. (1) Ryan has very competitive compensation packages and benefits to ensure we hire the best of the best out there. The members of the team I am on are stellar. (2) The flexibility allowed at Ryan to achieve a successful work/life balance is unmatched--the ability to choose my own hours and work from home has been a lifesaver for me and my family. (3) It is refreshing to be in a company where upper management stresses the importance of transparency. The CEO himself speaks to the entire company on at least a monthly basis. He also holds regional Town Halls periodically and invites every level of employee to speak their minds--whether with complaints or praise. I am surrounded by the best minds in tax and in the best environment, while being compensated very nicely. What more could one ask for?

Cons

I think the office thermostat was installed for aesthetics rather than function. It doesn't seem to matter which way I turn the device--I'm always hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. This is a very minor complaint, however, because when I'm uncomfortable, I can leave and work wherever I want.
