Pros

Has a good P/E ratio, but that is built on its employees.

Cons

It is amazing their still in business and have contracts. Most of their customers tire of their poor business practice's after awhile and actively look of a new company. They are wanting to increase the churn factor with its employees, to have the lowest skill set, but the highest mark up. No opportunities to advance, train and have a seat of the pants compensation and benefits. The statement " we are like the other guys" was actual stated management statement. Work Life balance is basically none. The old adage is charge for your time and charge it right is that is old. Management just wants deliverables complete on time, even though they over work the people doing the jobs, yet pay them for 40. Then once the task is complete, toss them.

Pros

Will try to find you another position if your position loses coverage. Many locations across the world. Seems genuinely concerned that employees charge their time accurately.

Cons

Starting January 2013, the health care benefits are terrible. Split off from Leidos last year as well, less opportunities to move within the company. No more quarterly morale events since going to the new Service Line strategy for management.

Pros

SAIC is extremely mature and its management has lots of experience in caring for its veteran employees and developing new talent. The company is involved in a huge number of projects in many locations, so anyone can likely find a role that they enjoy.

Cons

The size of the company can be daunting especially for new employees, and the contract-based nature of SAIC's business model lends itself more to a project-centric employee identity rather than a feeling of fellowship with the company as a whole. Also, the contract work model means projects and jobs may come and go.
