Pros

The company offers a wide spectrum of work, much of it DoD, some state and local projects. Some travel, need to be self driven and take little direction. After the split of SAIC to 2 companies, the matrix model was adopted and adjusted to focus on bringing in more business. Still heavy on the government projects but trying to get more commercial, state and local business.

Cons

If you are on a project billing 100% you are in good shape, quotas are set as your goals to always have a high, 98% or high billed to projects. Employees depend on the business developers to win new business and win re-competes, and hope that the work is in your field and area. If your contract ends and there is not a project for you, you are put on leave without pay. There if no guarantee a project will be coming soon, totally out of your control. Your manager and the upper management are spread across the country, so they do not personally know you. The last couple of years many of my peers with 18+ years were let go. My project ends in 1.5yr with no sense a follow up project is in the future...I am looking for new opportunities to continue unitizing my skills.
