Pros

Decent pay, lower than expected for role title and duties, but there is a lot of room to grow and learn. Good work life balance on the project I’m assigned to. Can’t speak to others. Big company with lots of contracts so redeployment is simple enough if needed from what I’ve seen. Willing to promote internally to allow career growth. All management I’ve dealt with have been genuine and open. Everyone is very professional.

Cons

Internal promotions don’t come with expected pay bumps. Navigating customer relationships and the difficulties of being a civilian contractor on gov projects. Not a true con but if you’re not familiar it sometimes makes the job more complex than it needs to be but it’s not a true negative to the job.
