Wonderful company with competitive pay and full benefits package! Really enjoyed my time there. I worked for two different project managers. Both were extremely easy to work with, supportive and collaborative with both our team members and the client points of contact.
Cons
Sometimes the company can overcater to difficult clients. I was assigned to one project where no matter what we did, how hard we worked, how many changes we made, etc. there was no pleasing that particular client. There were limitations within the scope of the contract, as well as some parameters that needed to be corrected within the contract, and rather than allow the PM to address these issues directly to correct the situation and help align realistic expectations, we were constantly asked by senior management to bend over backward to a client that kept changing the rules on us. However, this only occurred on one of multiple contracts I was assigned to. The other contracts were managed much better. So, I attribute this more so to the specific chain of command for that one contract, rather than the overall company. I did really enjoy my time there and would not hesitate to recommend SAIC as an employer.
