Pros

big company with good benefits.

Cons

Never got appreciation from the managers. The recruiters give verbal promises and later managers just decline it. They don't even try to keep their valuable employees. No care shown to the employees. They never get feedback from employees why they are leaving. Very bad company to work it.

Pros

Exposure to challenging customer problems and the opportunity to help solve them.

Cons

Enterprise communications are strictly one-way. As a result, leadership is not tuned in to employee concerns in key areas like ethics.Yes, there are communications vehicles employees can use, but not anonymously, as the few that exist are launched from the employee intranet with form data collected. Corporate doesn't get "the Line," and the Line disrespects Corporate, with predictable consequences.

Pros

I was a long time employee and was fortunate to have had very good managers who created work environments that encouraged creativity and professionalism. I was proud to work on projects that supported the military and the environment. I felt the work I was doing was for a good cause and I was proud to work there.

Cons

When the program I was working on lost a significant portion of its government funding, I was laid off. I was disapointed that apparently little or no effort was made to find another position for me to transfer to. During my last two weeks with the company, I was given the option of continuing to do my job or spend the time, in the office, searching for another position on my own. I had access to internal job postings, some job search webinars provided by Corporate HR, phone and email. While I appreciated having the time to job search on my own, as a long time employee, I was disappointed that the company didn't seem to value keeping me employed.
