Pros

Great place to get IT experience Good for DoD and prior military Good online resources for continuing education Good tuition assistance programs available

Cons

If you get on a contract that was underbid, you can find yourself without the benefits you desire Relocation costs are not often as good as some other companies The HOLA provided in Korea is lower than most of the DoD contractors performing in the peninsula

Pros

They preach integrity and much to their credit, they practice it. No allowance for failing to do the right thing when working for SAIC. Makes you proud to be associated with them. And the company is well respected for what it can bring to a customer.

Cons

Like so many others, driven to generate revenue, even though it may have negative impacts on employees, but the company often tries to mitigate those impacts.

Pros

Working alongside of some of the most experienced and qualified people in their field. Opportunity to utilize your expertise in a positive way. High tech atmosphere that is geared toward supporting important government and military projects. Good pay, benefits, and working conditions.

Cons

The company tries to be all things to all people. Everything from training to mandatory policies. There seems to be a rule or regulation for everything. Many have drop dead deadlines which conflict with one's daily work schedule. I found that, at times, I had to make a choice whether to get my work done or engage in some of these seminar type functions. When you have to work overtime to complete some of these deadlines there is something inherently wrong with the system.
