Pros

SAIC tries to cover employees when contracts expire. They do both government and commercial contracts which makes it easier to get experience in both areas.

Cons

Too bad they got rid of it being employee owned. The stock has been languishing between 15 and 20 since they went public.

Pros

Project oriented with opportunities to branch out on other projects. Entrepreneurial spirit. Good benefits with 4+ weeks of vacation, insurance, and 401K contributions.

Cons

Ken Dahlberg is no longer CEO, but when he was he was the major factor in employees feeling like second class citizens under his autocratic "regime". The focus on government only is very near sighted, we've got to branch out. Local management can be bad as long as their numbers meet expectations, they often have little regard for their employees.
