Pros

SAIC is a very large organization and there are very good managers and managers who seem to only look out for themselves. The 401K match is better than most. As long as you have a good manager, the company is excellent to work for. The health insurance choices are middle of the road. Blue Cross/Blue Sheild is not available through SAIC.

Cons

Some managers don't care about the employee until you put in your resignation. Then they will fight to keep you if the customer wants to keep you.

Pros

Great reputation. Very science focused. Military professionals. Good benefits package. Decent pay (salary). Various locations. Office morale is above average.

Cons

This is a contracting job, therefore the work is not too stable. Some contracts only last one year. Also, if you want to transfer to another position, the internal process is not as easy as they make it seem. Promotions are given on tenure instead of ability.
