Pros

Interesting jobs, get to see a lot of interesting things as a contractor to the government. Travel is always something that you will be doing.

Cons

Benefits are ok but not the greatest. Once the contract you are on is over or out of money, that's it, you are out on the street.

Pros

The work environment is fantastic. There is a great work/life balance, and I have met some of the best people during my 6 years. My division has allowed me grow my career and interface with senior level military.

Cons

You are really constrained to the work that your division does. If you want to move to another project outside of your division you have to apply just like a person who is not employed by the company. The career path is not that well defined and again depends on your division's management.
