Pros

Interesting work, good work life balance, great people to work with, plenty of opportunities to grow both technically and managerially, day-to-day job is fun and exciting. Keep in mind that all of this is dependent on which division you work for within the company. Some divisions like mine are great, and some not so much. That probably explains the range of responses on this board.

Cons

Technical work is very often hindered by the overreaching IT policies. Much more locked down than it needs to be, causing employees great frustration in trying to accomplish their tasking.

Pros

Our stock has kept it's value through the recession.

Cons

They are more than willing to relocate jobs in order to be able to hire cheaper staff in lower cost geographic areas - even if it means laying off 20+ year employees... They have done this with 200 jobs in 2008/2009 and plan this fate for 250+ jobs in 2010.

Pros

Professional company with lots of support and great compensation. Big company but divisions are close. Always someone you can go to for advise or assistance.

Cons

Jobs are defined by the contracts. Senior staff is involved with proposal writing which is sporatic but can be time consuming.
