Pros

I've been with SAIC for about 5 years. I started as an intern, then promoted to full time, then continued to grow into a scrum master. They offer great learning opportunities. They have tuition assistance. SAIC has a fantastic work-life balance. Management has never said no to me asking for time off. They allowed me to move twice. My direct managers really care about me and my career growth. The contracts I worked on were great and always fun. I loved the team I worked with. I felt very secure in my job. Management also really cares about mental and physical well-being.

Cons

SAIC does a lot of re-orgs. This can cause quite a bit of confusion. The pay could be better for lower-level employees. Upper management does not interact with lower-level employees. I have never spoken to anyone in the C-suite. The benefits could be much better. Contracts are out-bid. Could have better PTO accrual and more holidays off.

Decent enough job

Pros

This job pays a decent rate. Has good insurance choices.

Cons

My job was contract and even though we were loved and had all the experience to help at a top level, our contract was not renewed to save money and I lost my job. Requires upkeep of certifications which is basically a scam and cost money and time. No frills at all. Our only benefit was a paid for lunch once a year. I worked in a windowless room. Tons of security make life difficult and is what most calls to support are about. There is no growth in this position but to be a manager and we went through several managers in a few years. No job security at all.
