Government contracts can be unpredictable

The working-level managers seems to be passive/aggressive in nature. So, if they acquire feedback about you, you'll hear about the positive before you hear about the negative. This means, in the case of negative feedback received from clients and/or co-workers, that you don't have any time to correct erroneous statements about your job performance and/or improve your performance before they may decide to terminate you "for cause". In fact, they will put more effort into the "terminate for cause" option than they will to assess your job performance with you to give you the option either to find another position in the company or to resign.
