Pros

Work-life balance: Many reviews mention a good work-life balance, with some even highlighting flexibility due to work-from-home opportunities. Competitive pay and benefits: SAIC is generally seen as offering competitive pay and benefits, including a decent 401k match and employee stock purchase plan, according to some reviews. Culture: Some reviews suggest a positive culture, particularly for self-motivated individuals, and a focus on nurturing growth within the company. Flexibility: SAIC is noted for offering flexible work arrangements, including the ability to work from home when contracts allow, according to some employee reviews. Local opportunities: In some locations, like the Frederick location, there are opportunities for flex scheduling and learning due to the local nature of the work.

Cons

Management: A significant number of reviews express concerns about management, including issues with workload management, lack of support, and favoritism. Career advancement: Some reviews indicate limited opportunities for career advancement, particularly in smaller offices or on certain contracts. Contract-based work: SAIC's reliance on contracts means that job security can be a concern, with potential for limited training and support once a contract ends. Pros

- Pay is competitive, annual raises reflect the effort you put in (all positive for me so far!) - SAIC works with employees to utilize work-from-home privileges if the contract/work allows -Culture promotes self-motivated people; encourages taking responsibility for ones work. A very hands-off management style with the expectation that you will deliver or reach out if you run into any roadblocks, need assistance, etc. You are expected to be professional, transparent, and to pursue excellence. - JOB SECURITY: SAIC reassigns employees if contracts are canceled/lost/etc. If you are a valuable employee, displaying valuable skillsets that can be used elsewhere AND have the "whatever it takes" attitude, they will work to find you a new position if you are ever in a situation where your contract has been canceled etc.

Cons

- Not all employees receive the same education benefits; educational credit/financial support is dependent on the contract you are on - You are not guaranteed 100% remote work due to the sensitive nature of the government work SAIC supports
